United States Forest Service, Inventory and Monitoring Institute (IMI), Ft. Collins, CO.

The mission of the US Forest Service, Inventory and Monitoring Institute is to provide technical leadership and service for agency-wide collection, management, and analysis of scientifically reliable social and ecological information used in ecosystem management.

This NRIAI position is assigned to the US Forest Service, Inventory and Monitoring Institute to technically coordinate the requirements of NRCS with the research and development process, particularly with Forest Service inventory activities.  This position also has research and development responsibilities with the US Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) in regard to regional and national analyses of ecological data.

NRCS has assigned a NRIAI wildlife biologist to the Forest Service Inventory and Monitoring Institute, and the Rocky Mountain Research Station to technically coordinate the requirements of NRCS with the research and development process.
