NRCS FOCS/NIMS - Potential Clients Base Data
This web site contains the base data for populating the demographic tables
for field office demographic information.
Please read through the instructions and documentation while downloading your
data. This compilation adapts US Census and Ag. Census demographic data to the
specifications needed for FOCS-NIMS data entry, using a procedure developed by a
NRCS working group in August, 1997. The data also includes farm acreage, and
1990, 1997, and estimated 2002 population per minority/gender group. The
calculations are completed for all US counties (by primary farm location) and
for zip-codes (by home address). Please contract the Operations Management &
