NRCS PRMS Instructions for inputting the Baseline Demographic/Clients data into PRMS Potential Clients Base Data

This web site contains the base data for populating the demographic tables for the PRMS baseline data.
The data has been updated with farm-level data from the 1997 Ag. Census. Please read through the instructions and documentation while downloading your data. This compilation adapts US Census and Ag. Census demographic data to the specifications needed for PRMS data entry, using a procedure developed by a NRCS working group in August, 1997. The data also includes farm acreage, and 1990, 1997, and estimated 2002 population per minority/gender group. Note the change from the older FOCS database in listing Hispanic as ethic origin, not as a racial category.
